![]() The paint tub still had pieces of fibre glass sticking out (next to cavemans feet when it overheated). Next episode, 5, they just threw in the roughest painted hot tub into an unpainted, uncleaned interior. Engine bays aren't painted and the paint is so horrible, so much run and orange peel. Let's face it S3 Episode 4, how would someone pay 42.5k for that bus with scratches near the rhs windshield and the massive paint run on the front above the grille? How did they not notice that?Įvery build has been so half-assed. There is a previous archived thread talking about how most of this is fake. The Delahaye's fender covers were jaggered and not curved right. ![]() Thank God this thread exists because I was sure i wasn't the only one picking up on these things. it's just a lurid body kit and a waste of a donor. Then there was the "concept car" by which they mean take a car, swap the body for a fiberglass mold, add 2D cut-out metal bits and pretend it's a prototype. Thats when the bubble burst for me and I started watching for the level of shit instead of letting them entertain me. Plastic see-through steering wheel yikes. The photographer guy must have been thinking "how much are they paying me to look at this thing again?". The upside was I used it to show my son the difference between design and a shitty knock-off. Riveted flat sides to the splash guards, the panels didn't match up on the corners leaving actual gaps, it wobbled badly, the windshield was like an old pair of 3D glasses, "the lines flow into eachother" oh no they don't, and the overall jello-mold monstrocity of the body. It's been 3 months since this thread, but I have been watching all the seasons now and I needed an outlet to vent about that "hommage" to DeLaHaye.
